A sudden fire means "kiss of death" for Sun Hope- Donation needed!
The Sun Hope's truck, which was loaded with all of its costumes, unfortunately caught fire on February 9th. This fire wrecked the treasured costumes which represented 10 years of hard work by the troupe. The Sun Hope Taiwanese Opera Troupe states that it will continue to perform the scheduled works by renting or borrowing costumes from other theatrical companies, for the time being, since most of the costumes were ruined int the fire. However, if the troupe wants to sustain its creative performance, permanently, they will need an estimated NT four million dollars in order to purchase new costumes and other necessary equipment. The Sun Hope Troupe stated that it would greatly appreciate financial support from the general public. Please make a generous donation to the talented Taiwanese opera troupe- Sun Hope.
