"The World Games Rollerblade Express" Around-the-Island Delivery Mission

In an effort to get people more involved in The World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung this July, the Kaohsiung Organizing Committee (KOC) is planning to launch a series of promotional events. "The World Games Rollerblade Express' Delivery" was one of the special activities rolled out by the KOC.
"The World Games Rollerblade Express" delivery activity officially kicked off on March 28th and 29th. Shi-Fang Liu, Managing Director of the KOC, gave athletes on the Chinese-Taipei Rollerblade Team and members of the Kaohsiung Rollerblade Committee invitations to The World Games 2009 Kaohsiung to be hand-delivered to every commissioner and mayor in Taiwan. They set out on a two day, around-the-island tour via three different routes. The main purpose of this event was to reach out to the commissioners and mayors, and through them, the people in every district and township in Taiwan.
The climax of this promotional event was "The World Games Rollerblade Express Carnival" held at the Office of the President Plaza on April 12th. This event actually started on April 11th at Glory Pier in Kaohsiung. A special convoy of "The World Games Express", formed by 32 athletes from the Chinese-Taipei Rollerblade Team and the Kaohsiung Rollerblade Committee, lead by head coach Jin-Long Huang, divided into 4 teams and completed a 4-leg relay all the way from the pier to the Office of the President in Taipei. The "Overnight Delivery" mission was successfully accomplished. The president's office received an invitation from Kaohsiung's Deputy Mayor Yong-Te Lee to welcome President Ma to Kaohsiung between the 16th and 26th of July for the World Games.
By KOC's estimation, the eighth World Games will likely host over 5000 athletes to compete in 31 categories. Kaohsiung's Mayor Chu Chen encourages our teams to be confident and let everyone in Taiwan know that "Kaohsiung is ready!" She is looking forward to The World Games 2009 Kaohsiung as a big festival, and she hopes that the promotional events would draw more attention from the general public. The commissioners and mayors who received an invitation returned the gesture by sending their county or city flag to Kaohsiung as a gift to show their support for The World Games. This gesture also served as a message to people from every county or city that they are welcome to attend The World Games either as athletes or cheering audience.

為掀起國內世運熱潮，一起為七月份將在高雄舉行的世運會加油，2009高雄世運基金會（KOC）展開一連串為世運加油的造勢活動，「直排輪～『世運快遞瘋全台』活動」即是特別規劃的推廣活動之一。
「世運快遞瘋全台」活動在３月28至29日正式起跑，由中華台北世運滑輪代表隊，以及高雄市滑輪溜冰委員會的選手們於3月28日接過KOC常務董事劉世芳親授世運邀請卡後，從高雄市政府分三支世運快遞隊伍出發。為期二天一夜的世運邀請環台行程，將世運盛會的訊息傳遞到每位縣市首長手中，透過各地方首長的魅力號召，將世運在高雄的訊息傳遞至鄉鎮角落。同時各縣市也回贈縣市旗，表示支持世運，並號召各縣市世運選手一同為世運加油！
其中工程最浩大的莫過於４月12日於總統府前廣場舉辦的「世運快遞瘋全台」全台拜會活動─「總統府世運嘉年華」，滑輪隊由中華台北世運滑輪溜冰代表隊與高雄市滑輪溜冰委員會共同組成的「世運快遞隊」自４月11日從高雄光榮碼頭起跑，在國家級教練黃錦龍的率領下，由32位選手分為4組，以不間斷的接力方式一路北行至總統府，完成「一日快遞」的重要任務。高雄市副市長李永得並遞送邀請卡，邀請總統於7月16日到26日來高雄看世運。
2009高雄世運基金會（KOC）預估本(第八)屆世界運動會將吸引超過5000名運動選手參與31項運動比賽。高雄以辦喜事的心情迎接2009高雄世運會，市長陳菊期勉代表隊將「高雄準備好了！」的訊息傳遞全台，希望透過這樣的宣傳方式，讓世運更親近民眾。
