The specialties of Neimen are spiky bamboo, sweet potatoes and wan-nien (perpetual) potatoes. Neimen's longans and tasty peanut candies have made their mark these years and become tourists' favorites.
Spiky bamboo used to be one of the mainstays of Neimen's economy. According to the local elderly, usually the lifespan of spiky bamboo is about eight years, and the best harvest time is during the ten days around the winter solstice when the bamboo is six years old. Products made of such spiky bamboo are durable. However, due to the bamboo products largely imported from Southeast Asia, few bamboo-processing factories remain in Neimen now.
Wan-nien potatoes are usually found in the hillside woods or along the paths; Neimen people have been growing them on the farmland these years. Wan-nein potatoes can help treat acnes and reduce inflammation, bruising and swelling.
內門鄉地質多屬雨水極易流失的灰岩，因此境內多林地、旱地，鄉民大面積種植刺竹、甘藷、萬年薯，成為當地特產，近年內門龍眼也相當有名。
刺竹曾是內門鄉民的主要經濟命脈，據地方耆老表示，一般刺竹的壽命約８年，而在冬至前後１０天所採收的６年生刺竹品質最佳，所編製的竹簍和日常用具，結實耐用不易腐壞，但在不敵東南亞進口竹製品的競爭下，目前內門刺竹簡易加工廠所剩無幾。萬年薯則多生長在山坡樹林下或路旁，近年有內門鄉民在農地栽植，萬年薯具有消炎解毒、袪瘀消腫、治療青春痘等功能，至於花生糖雖然稱不上是內門的知名名產，但味道香Ｑ、甜而不膩，深受遊客喜愛。
