On the return journey, you can take a ferry on Red-haired Harbor back to Chungchou, to Chichin and then onwards to Kushan. Shaochuantou, on the opposite side of the road from Kushan Ferry Pier, has some restaurants of great character that are ideal places for dinner.
Transport plan
Take bus No.1 to Kushan Ferry Pier. Along Chichin beach southward to the tourist center which is on Chichin 3rd Road. Bus No.35 goes only northward to Chichin Ferry Pier. Then, you must cross over Chichin 3rd Road and then go to Chungchou 3rd Road in order to take the southward bus No.35 back to Chungchou. You should alight at Chungshingli Activity Center.
The journey from Chungchou to Red-haired Harbor and the return journey require careful timing. The best time for the outward journey is 15:55. For the return journey, you can choose the last one at 18:55. Otherwise, take bus No.78 to Yancheng District, which requires longer time.

This route provides a romantic journey around Kaohsiung Sea Port and Love River. The Pier 2 Art District at the end of Tayung Road has transformed the space from unused dock storage into an artistic area for displays and performances. It is worth visiting and appreciating. While on this sea route, you can relax and view Kaohsiung Port and the skyline of Kaohsiung's buildings. After the journey around the seaport, you can go to Shinle Street and Lainan Street to enjoy their characteristic Yancheng snacks for lunch. Alternatively, there are many varied restaurants on Wufu Road. After lunch, you can let your meal go down while gently strolling to the Film Archives and History Museum by following a route along the Love River. Along the Love River, there are also the Citizen's Square, Renai Park, Love River Water Park and other sites providing an excellent life space for drinking afternoon tea and finding refreshment and relaxation. For the evening, there are some high-class restaurants for dinner. You can have a wide range of choice.
Transport plan
Taking bus No.248, you should get off at the junction of Chihsien Road and Kungyuan Road. Walking eastward along Kungyuan Road (in the direction of Love River), you turn right into Tayung Road. The Pier 2 Art District and seaport dock are located at the end of the road. The return journey is: walking along Wufu Road and Love River, you will arrive at Yancheng District with its beautiful food and fine scenery.

The seaport tourist steamship makes four journeys each day: at 08:00, 10:00, 14:00, and 16:00. The full ticket costs NT$ 400. It is better to book in advance.

喜歡海港風情的人不容錯過的行程。首先由高雄最著名的鼓山-旗津渡輪航線揭開序幕，也許可以先在旗津輪渡站樓上的咖啡廳先溫熱一下海港氣氛，接下來的天后宮、旗后燈塔、旗后砲台都是高雄著名的古蹟和景點。接著沿海岸公園觀賞旗津沙洲風光，新建風車公園可以發電又美觀，有環保概念。中洲的海鮮餐廳是午餐的理想場所，下午再搭渡輪到紅毛港高字塔文化園區喝下午茶看大船進出，紅毛港則保留漁村的傳統風貌，值得進去逛逛。回程可以由紅毛港搭船回中洲到旗津再回到鼓山，鼓山輪渡站對面的哨船頭則有一些特色餐廳，是晚餐的理想地點。
交通指南：搭1線公車到鼓山輪渡站班次密集。順著旗津海岸往南到遊客中心的出口是旗津三路，這邊的35線公車是返回旗津輪渡站的單向車，所以必須直直穿過旗津三路到中洲三路搭乘南向的35線公車到中洲，在中興里活動中心站下車。
注意事項：中洲和紅毛港對渡的船班有限，請掌握好時間，由中洲到紅毛港最佳船班是15:55。回程可以選擇最後一班18:55由紅毛港回中洲，否則就搭78線公車回到鹽埕區，會花較長的時間坐車。

本路線涵蓋高雄港遊港行程和愛河的浪漫精華。大勇路底的駁二藝術特區把閒置碼頭倉儲空間轉化為藝術展演空間，值得欣賞；遊港航線可以悠哉飽覽高雄港及高雄市大樓天際線，遊完港可以到新樂街、瀨南街的鹽埕特色小吃吃中餐，或五福路上各種餐廳也是不錯的選擇。吃飽再到愛河沿線的電影圖書館、歷史博物館散步幫助消化，愛河沿線還有市民廣場、仁愛公園、愛河景觀親水公園等優質的生活空間，喝個下午茶也很愜意。晚上附近的高級飯店可以吃晚餐或是選擇其他餐廳。
交通指南：248線在七賢路與公園路口站下車，沿著公園路往愛河的方向（東）走到大勇路右轉，駁二和遊港碼頭都在路底。回程往五福路及愛河方向走，可以到達鹽埕區的美食及景點精華區。
