Brunch at Macchiato Flower and Muddy Waters

 In this time and age, "rise and shine" is no longer a common practice. However, one doesn't necessarily have to be an early bird in order to get good food; a hearty brunch provides an easy, convenient solution to satisfy your appetite for both breakfast and lunch. Try a French omelet at Macchiato Flower or a traditional English breakfast at Muddy Waters; they are the best option for your next brunch.

※Macchiato Flower

 Macchiato Flower is a French-style tea salon; its menu offers a wide selection of bistro-style food. In Macchiato Flowers, diners can enjoy artistically plated, well-portioned food in a tranquil, elegant setting.

 Upon entering Macchiato Flowers, one will not fail to notice the small jars of French tea standing in neatly arranged rows in the store front. The female owner of Macchiato Flowers has always liked tea, but she became head-over- heels in love when she encountered French tea. The characteristic of French tea is the scents infused during the roasting stage by adding various herbs and spices, which gives the tea its unique, unforgettable flavor.

 To complete its tea salon atmosphere, breakfast at Macchiato Flower is also a French-inspired fair. The featured omelet is slow-cooked over low heat, loaded with scrumptious fillings, served with whole wheat bread, butter, wiener sausage, braised mushrooms, salad, soup, as well as your choice of beverage. The portion is extremely generous and satisfying.

※Muddy Waters

 Located near Nong 16, Muddy Waters is an American-style restaurant featuring retro-chic decorations: a jukebox at its entrance that plays 60s' music; pestle-toned walls plastered with posters of the Beatles, Elvis, and Marilyn Monroe. To top it off, a replica of a pink Cadillac takes up a prominent space in the restaurant. Everything in Muddy Waters emanates the U.S. in the 60s.

 Muddy Waters has a very extensive breakfast menu; toast, bagels, waffles, omelets, sandwiches, whatever you want, they've got.

 But you can't fully appreciate the breakfast at Muddy Waters until you try its "Traditional English Breakfast". It comes with toast, fried potatoes, baked beans, two strips of crispy bacon, a pair of sunny-side-up eggs, served with orange juice and coffee, guaranteed to fulfill any hungry diner.

 對習慣晚起的現代人而言,由於起床晚,一頓豐盛的Brunch(早午餐),一次解決早餐和午餐,省時又省事,「瑪琪朵朵」的法式蛋捲餐和「馬弟瓦特」的傳統英式早餐,是早午餐的首選。

 以法國茶起家的「瑪琪朵朵」,供應的餐點以法式為基調,不但餐點豐盛,擺盤精緻,用餐環境更顯恬靜優雅。

 一進「瑪琪朵朵」的大門,目光立即被前方排列整齊的小圓罐吸引,這些全是法國茶,愛喝茶的女主人,在接觸法國茶後,就一頭栽進法國茶的世界裡,法國茶最大的特色就是烘焙茶葉時,使用各種香料增加茶香,品嚐過就很難忘掉她獨特的味道。

 為了配合法式飲茶氛圍,「瑪琪朵朵」的早餐也很有法國風,就拿法式蛋捲餐來說,主菜法式蛋捲是用小火慢慢煎,切開後,豐富的餡料滿溢,搭純麥麵包、奶油、德國香腸、滷香菇和一份生菜沙拉,加上濃湯和飲料,份量十足。

※馬弟瓦特

 位於農16的「馬弟瓦特」充滿美式復古情懷,入口處的老式點唱機播著60年代的西洋老歌,粉色系的牆面上除了掛有披頭四、貓王、瑪麗蓮夢露的海報,還有一台亮眼的桃紅色凱迪拉克模型,猶如回到60年代的美國。

 早餐是「馬弟瓦特」的強項,吐司、貝果、鬆餅、蛋捲、三明治等,應有盡有。

 「馬弟瓦特」的招牌是傳統英式早餐,包括烤土司、薯餅、燉肉豆、香煎雙培根、太陽雙蛋,還附上柳橙汁和熱咖啡,豐盛飽足。
