寶璺藏神─鋦瓷展
Exhibition of the Mended Ceramics with Riventing
●中國陶瓷藝術遠播世界，獲得世人的肯定。補釘過的瓷器稱為「鋦瓷」。從前的人對於美如海貝般晶瑩剔透、且脆弱的瓷器，即使不慎打破，也會把碎片拾起，且用金屬釘修補牢固，使其不漏水仍具實用性而繼續使用，但金屬釘修補後器物外壁留下明顯的修補釘釦（內部則完全不留修補釘釦），這種「修補釘釦」甚至一度成為人們鑑賞的對象。
●「璺」原指玉裂，引申為寶物有裂痕，「寶璺藏神」意指寶物雖有裂痕但仍神采豐富、珍貴。本館與國立歷史博物館合辦「寶璺藏神－鋦瓷展」藉以重建已經消失不復見的優良工藝技術。
●The Chinese ceramic arts have spread through out the world and have gained global recognition. Mended chinaware is called "cramp porcelain." Even beautiful shell porcelains that have translucent glaze, yet because of their fragile nature gets broken, if all the pieces are collected, the pieces can still be mended by using special metal nails. This would prevent them from leaking and yet still being practical for continual usage. However, there would be obvious mending nail scares at the outer wall of the porcelains use of the metal nails for repair, (then there would be no scares at all at the inner wall). This type of "nail scares" even once became the target that people appreciated.
●The Chinese character "璺" (Wen) denotes "a visible crack in a piece of jade or porcelain", implying a crack in a gem. The Chinese phrase "寶璺藏神"(Bao Wen Tsang Shen) means the existence of charm and value despite having a crack in the gem. This museum and National Museum of History has jointly sponsored "The Magnificence Hidden in the Precious Porcelains-Cramp Porcelains Exhibition."
