Compared with other indigenous towns, San Min Township boasts wide-ranging variety of specialties for all seasons, including everything from ginger, taro, Ma bamboo shoot, cordia dichotoma, plum, aspenium nidus, tropical peach, wild jelly fig to corn. However, they are not available in local stores. Venturing deep into the mountains where tribesmen inhabit is the only way to try your luck.
San Min Township is situated in remote area. As a result, it is better to plan a two-day trip. 三民鄉的農作物，和其他原住民鄉比起來，算得上是多樣化，幾乎每個季節都有收穫，包括生薑、芋頭、麻竹筍、破布子、烏梅、脆梅、山蘇、熱帶水蜜桃、野生愛玉子、玉米，應有盡有，不過由於三民鄉並未大力推展觀光，平日外來遊客並不多，因此這些特產並無專門店銷售，想吃道地的特產，就要深入部落碰碰運氣了。
