TKLP Inaugurating in March / 陽明海運高雄國際物流中心動工 台糖高雄物流園區三月底落成
Following the Taisugar Kaohsiung Logistics Park (TKLP) and the Kaohsiung Software Park in the Kaohsiung Multi-functional Commerce Park (KMCP), the YML Kaohsiung Global Logistics Center also broke ground on February 5 and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2001. In addition, the first stage of the TKLP project will soon be completed; an inauguration ceremony is schedule for March 31.
The project of the YML Kaohsiung Global Logistics Center is based on a build-operate-transfer (BOT) agreement between Yangming Marine Transport Corp. (Yang Ming Line, YML) and the Kaohsiung Harbor Bureau. The 3.5-hectare center is equipped with a global logistics system, including order management, warehouse management, inventory management, on-line cargo tracing, multinational distribution and bar coding. The center will specialize in distribution of 3C products and automobiles, as well as processing other kinds of goods.
The TKLP encompasses 8.4 hectares and is located on Chengkung 2nd Road and Chunghua 5th Road in Kaohsiung. A tight combination of distribution, payment and information systems makes the TKLP a multi-functional global logistics center, also the first global logistics center in Taiwan.
Three companies are moving to the TKLP, including mobile phone, radiator and milk powder firms. Several companies are discussing the feasibility of moving in, including Japanese food firms, European machine component distributors, and local logistics and express firms.
The inauguration of the TKLP signifies the implementation of the KMCP project. The city government will also follow the central government's policy and work with the Kaohsiung Harbor Bureau and shipping industry to further propel the KMCP project and move Taiwan closer to the goal of turning the whole island into a global logistics center.
高雄多功能經貿園區繼「台糖物流園區」、「軟體科技園區」之後，「陽明海運高雄國際物流中心」也在2月5日動土，預計90年底完工啟用。而台灣第一個專為國際物流規劃的全功能物流中心「台糖高雄物流園區」，第一期工程已接近完工，預定於3月31日舉行落成典禮。
由港務局和陽明海運以BOT模式合作的「陽明海運高雄國際物流中心」，總面積3.5公頃，功能涵蓋訂單維護管理、倉儲管理、存貨管理、電子線上追蹤監督貨流現況、多國配送、多國拆併櫃、條碼印刷功能。未來將提供3C產品、汽車零件、電子零件發貨中心等各類產品業者，包括多國拆併櫃配送，以及高附加價值的流通加工作業流程。
「台糖高雄物流園區」座落在高雄市成功二路與中華五路上，總面積8.4公頃，是一座全功能國際物流中心，結合了實體物流、商流、金流、資訊流、情報流等，建構全球運籌中心需具備的環境要素，它的啟用意謂台灣跨入國際物流市場。
目前該物流園區已有三家業者簽約準備進駐，分別為手機、汽車水箱、奶粉廠商，另有數家業者正在積極洽談合作可行性，包括日本的食品業者、歐洲知名機械零件配銷廠商等大型客戶，以及國內中小型的物流、宅配業者等。
高雄多功能經貿園區將因台糖高雄物流園區正式落成啟用而落實。未來市府將配合中央政策，與港務局及航運業界積極推動多功能經貿園區相關工作，帶動全球運籌中心的發展，高雄市港脫胎換骨可期，將與香港、上海共築高科技產業發展的『金三角』。
