The Creation of Paradise / 串連完整的生態廊道
Jhouzih Wetland Park not only represeants the regeneration and creation of a wetland ecosystem, but, een more importantly, it establish as a comlplete area devoted to the ecosystem within Kaohsiung as a whole.
At present, the only biological area in Kaohsiung City, is at Banping Mountain, which is located in the North, and Turtle Mountain in the South, leaving a gap in the middle of these two areas. Therefore, Jhouzih Wetland Park, which will be located in the Southern part of Banping Mountain, will be able to compensate for this deficiency. In addition, the completion of the Wetland Park, located in the Neiweipi Culture Park, and the aboriginal vegetation park, will make the planned cultivation of an ecosystem within the city of Kaohsiung, close to complete. In this region, differrent birds and insects will have the freedom to migrate and multiply. This entire area will transform Kaohsiung into a friendly city not only suitable for humans to exist, but also for insects, fish, birds and animals to live in harmony together.
洲仔濕地公園不只是一個濕地生態的復育與營造，更是建立高雄地區完整生態廊道不可或缺的一環。
以高雄市既有的生態區域而言，北有半屏山，南有龜山銜接柴山；然而在這南北兩大生態重鎮之間，卻出現一個空隙。因此位於蓮池潭畔、半屏山以南的洲仔濕地公園，就正好可以彌補這個空缺，再加上已完成的內惟埤美術館濕地公園以及左營的原生植物園兩個較小的點，高雄市的生態廊道便更趨完整，各種鳥類、昆蟲可以在這些區域中自由遷徙，擴大活動範圍，讓高雄成為一個不但適合人居住，也適合蟲魚鳥獸自在生存的友善樂園。
