The "25% Golden Week" was an activity project planned by Chi-Ming Hsieh, a student of National Sun Yat-Sen University (NSYSU). During the activity week, Hsieh designed 7 thematic tours to see Kaohsiung from a locals' angle and also held a poll for NSYSU students to vote for the Top 9 Resorts, special scenic spots, and gourmet food only known by local students. The activity ended in July, however, what it had covered is still of great reference and value to tourism in Kaohsiung.
What was the motivation for NSYSU students to initiate this activity week? Mr. Hsieh, who is originally from Keelung, said that during his first year in Kaohsiung, he did not know where to eat or what to see. Therefore, he started to have the idea of planning this activity. Mr. Hsieh spent a year's time in order to collect local information and half a year on the actual planning of the seven thematic tours for Kaohsiung. These themes cover not only gourmet food, but also some fun and dynamic activities.
Apart from introducing local gourmet food and some secret scenic spots, the main feature of this activity is the word "25%". It means that everything on these tours is on a 4-person-sharing basis. For example, a group of four can share a gourmet dish for just 25% of the price. By doing this, people can enjoy more gourmet food and fun activities on a budget of less than NT 1000.
The "25% Golden Week" includes 7 thematic Kaohsiung tours: "Harbor Sailing Team". These routes cover Sizihwan and Chaishan. Tourists can experience expert ways of visiting Kaohsiung, only known by NSYSU students.
● Harbor Sailing Team
The "Harbor Sailing Team" tour is in cooperation with Kaohsiung Sailing School. It took place in Hsingda Harbor in Kaohsiung County. The Captain, Mr. Tai-An Pan, led people to experience the charm of keel boats. Tourists would have the opportunity to take the helm if weather permits.

● Airport Cafe
Airport Cafe is a unique feature of Kaohsiung. Mr. Hsieh says that although there are many airports in Taiwan, it is very rare for them to have an open air cafe lined up next to it. People can enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the sight of aircraft taking off and landing.
● Paradise in Kaohsiung
On this tour, "25% Golden Week" cooperated with wedding photo studios. The activity invited professional photographers to take casual salon shots for each tourist, so they could take home their personal memories of Kaohsiung. In addition, the tour also arranged for tourists to take a ride on the "Haipeng 2" yacht. The yacht owner, Mr. Wen-Chin-Chen, lead a guided tour in the Kaohsiung Harbor about the history and special features of Kaohsiung Harbor.

● Cycling Photography
This tour cooperated with Depot Bike School to design some fun station games on the bike path and enable tourists to get to know Gushan District by taking photos. Depot Bike School is a unique rest stop for bikers in Kaohsiung. It combines the concepts of utilization of unused space, arts and humanities, and green LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability).

● Sea View, Seafood, and Sea City
Local guides took people to the seaside of Chaishan to enjoy the fun of crab catching, seaweed picking, or harvesting edible wild herbs on the cliff. For those who missed out on this tour, Mr. Bo-Liang Chan, who also took part in this tour, recommends going to Cijin to enjoy delicious fresh seafood. There are stalls selling BBQ squid and 100NT stir-fry everywhere - this is the gourmet food that cannot be missed. Afterward, people can visit the historical heritage attractions around Cijin, and watch the beautiful sunset.
● Sizihwan Kayaking
During the 25% Golden Week, the members of NSYSU Windsurfing Club introduced the characteristics of Sizihwan to the tourists on this tour. They also arranged kayaks for people to use and have fun with. In recent years, Kaohsiung City has been vigorously promoting sailing on the campus. You can spot windsurfers everywhere in Sizihwan and Love River. Kaohsiung Sailing Boat Committee also holds camps for people who want to experience sailing.

● Sugar Factory Experience
This is the only vegetarian tour among the 7 thematic tours. Ciaotou Sugar Refinery Factory is the first sugar factory in Kaohsiung. People would be able to learn from the factory guide about identifying the quality of sugar cane. This is a tour of history and local specialty.

During this activity, Hsieh held a poll for NSYSU students to vote for their Top 9 must-sees. These must-sees are: Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, which combines the exhibitions of contemporary art and culture, and a wetland nature reserve; Dream Mall, where people can enjoy a spectacular view; Love River, which provides all kind of water activities, river bank cafes, and a space for art and culture; Formosa Boulevard MRT station and Urban Spotlight, which are famous for their public art exhibitions; The World Games Main Stadium that focuses on the beauty of architecture and its environmental friendliness; the tallest building in Kaohsiung 85 Building; the historical Former British Consulate at Takou and Martyr's Shrine where the best sunset sea view can be found. There is a beautiful story about Martyr's Shrine well known to the NSYSU students: when a couple climb the stairs of the Martyr's Shrine, if neither of them look back and walk together all the way to the top, then their love shall last forever.
As for the night tour on Chaishan, it offers 3 secret scenic spots which are only known by locals, including what students nicknamed the "Blockhouse", "Little Cape" and "Dazihran (great nature)". These three are all very nice and quiet spots to watch the sunset and star gaze.
Through the tours recommended by the 25% Golden Week, people can experience the warmth and friendliness of Kaohsiung residents. 由中山大學謝啟民同學策畫的「25％黃金週」，以在地角度規劃了七條主題之旅、同學票選九大名勝以及學生才知道的私房景點和美食店家，活動在七月份已結束，但活動的行程，仍深具旅遊高雄的參考價值。
為什麼中山大學學生會規劃這些活動呢？來自基隆的謝啟民表示，他在高雄的第一年，不知道去哪吃、去哪玩，讓他興起了規劃活動的念頭。為了行銷高雄，謝啟民花了一年的時間收集資料，並花半年時間實際規劃體驗，訂出七大主題玩法，內容除美食外，更有各式動態活動。
除了介紹在地美食、私房景點之外，活動最大特色在於「25％」，代表四人同行以25％的價錢分享一份美食，讓遊客以一千元不到的經費，在有限時間中接觸更多不同美食與各式活動。
包山包海七大主題
「25％黃金週」規劃了七條主題路線。各式活動遍及西子灣與柴山，體驗中山大學學生才知道的內行玩法。
●港灣重帆隊
港灣重帆隊是與由高雄帆船學校合作，活動地點在高雄縣興達港，由潘泰安先生帶領大家體驗重型帆船的魅力，並在天候許可的狀況下，玩家有機會親手掌舵。

●機場咖啡廳
機場咖啡廳也是高雄一絕，謝啟民表示雖然台灣各地都有機場，但是像高雄這樣有露天咖啡廳在機場旁一字排開的景象卻不多見，也更能觀賞到飛機起降的雄姿。
●天堂在高雄
25％黃金週活動期間與婚紗攝影公司合作，由攝影師替每位遊客拍攝輕裝沙龍，讓大家能在這趟旅遊中帶回專屬於個人的高雄回憶！此外還安排遊客乘坐「海鵬二號遊艇」，由船東陳文進先生帶領大家在高雄港內環繞介紹高雄港的歷史與特色！

●單車連環拍
單車連環拍是與倉庫自行車學校合作，設計好玩的闖關遊戲，以拍照的方式認識鼓山。倉庫自行車學校是高雄極具特色的騎士休憩站，結合閒置空間活化、人文藝術與綠色樂活概念。

●海灣海產海之都
在地導覽帶領遊客前往柴山海邊享受親手抓蝦蟹、採海帶、或是在柴山峭壁摘野菜的樂趣，若是錯過這次活動，參與此次活動的陳柏良同學也非常建議前往旗津大啖生猛海鮮，像是隨處可見的烤小卷、百元熱炒都是不能錯過的美食，之後再順遊旗津島上各處古蹟景點，觀賞夕陽餘暉。
●西灣獨木舟
活動期間是由中山風帆社社員介紹西子灣的特色，並備有「獨木舟」讓玩家親自下水玩樂。高雄市近年在校園內大力推動風帆運動，在西子灣、愛河都能看到玩家身影，高雄市風帆委員會也會舉行體驗營。

●糖廠甘蔗行
這是七條路線中唯一的全素食行程，百年歷史的橋頭糖廠是高雄第一座糖廠，此路線可請導覽員教導辨識甘蔗品質、來趟人文歷史土產之旅。

在這次活動中謝啟民發起票選同學心目中的九大必到名勝，包含展示當代文化藝術，結合生態濕地園區的高雄市立美術館；可以同時欣賞海景、市景與浪漫夜空的夢時代；以及有各式水上活動、河畔咖啡與文藝展覽的愛河；另有以公共藝術聞名的捷運美麗島站、城市光廊；以建築結構、生態環保訴求的世運主場館；高雄第一高樓－85大樓；以及可遠眺海天夕陽的古蹟打狗英國領事館官邸、忠烈祠，關於忠烈祠中山大學學生有則口耳相傳的美麗傳說，傳說相愛的兩人爬上忠烈祠過程中，如果雙方都沒有回頭一路走到終點，那麼兩人的愛情將會長長久久的持續到永遠。
夜遊柴山提供了三處只有在地人知道的私房景點，包含了學生暱稱的「碉堡」、「小海角」、「大自然」，都是可以看夕陽觀星空的地點。
